Question about your bill //
What billing or insurance information will I receive?
Day 2 payment available on portal
Day 6: Statement sent / quick pay available on line.
How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?
The average estimated time it takes to process a claim by most insurances is two to three weeks. If there are denials or other issues with your claim, then the claim can take several weeks or months depending on the processing time by the insurance company.
.
Why am I getting bills from physicians?
One of the main reasons would be that your copay, deductible or a previous balance was not paid or collected at the time of your visit.
Other reason why your account can have a balance might be that your insurance policy may have been cancelled or changed and was not updated with the office.
Also, there will be a balance if you did not show for your appointment or you bought an item from our office and did not pay at time of purchase.
We encourage our patients to be familiar with their policy and be aware of the coverage for in and out network benefits.
I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill - but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?
The insurance company may have applied a different amount to your copay, deductible or co-insurance responsibility.
